Constancia, an EPM consultancy and official OneStream (EPM software) partner, trains the finance team that inherits the system during the build. The team runs the first close itself, with us on call.

OneStream training transfers a working system from the people who built it to the finance team who will run it, while the build is open. Constancia writes it into every implementation, because a team that cannot change the model calls the implementer every month end.
OneStream training teaches the finance team inheriting a system to administer it, change it and run the month end before the build team leaves. The gap it closes is cheaper to close during the build than in the year after it. The runbooks are written during the build, and the training is the walk through them.
Constancia's certified consultants have done 58 OneStream implementations over 35 years, and the people who designed the model give the training on each build. The person who wrote a rule is the person who explains it.
Where an acquisition lands in March and nobody in finance can add the new entity to the hierarchy, the close waits on an email. The month-end calendar then carries a day that belongs to somebody outside the company. That day comes off the calendar once the administrator has added an entity with us watching.
Each job is taught as a procedure on the group's own model, with the runbook for it open alongside. The team does each one once with us watching and the second time on its own.
Users, security roles and the environment settings pass to a named administrator in the group, with a written runbook for each.
The team runs the close workflow, the data loads and the consolidation itself, with the build team watching the first time.
Adding an entity, an account or a hierarchy member is taught as a procedure, because the next acquisition will need it.
The team reads the rules that translate, eliminate and adjust, so a number that looks wrong can be traced to the rule that made it.
The board pack and the management reports are rebuilt once by the team, with the build team beside them.
Every runbook and design note was written while the work happened, and the training shows the team where each one lives.
A team that has done each of the 6 jobs once with us beside it does the seventh alone.
The training is written into the implementation, so the team learns on its own model while the build is open.
Where the group inherited the model from another firm, the survey reads that model first and the training follows what it finds.
The person who ran the system has left, and the replacement needs the administration module and the runbooks in the first month.
A new entity arrives within the year, and the team needs to add it to the hierarchy without raising a change request.
A group with no OneStream system yet starts with the implementation page rather than this one.
The administrator takes the most and the entity accountants take the least. The group appoints the administrator before the training starts, because the runbooks are written to that person's name.
1 named person owns users, security and the environment, then takes the administration module in full.
The person who signs the consolidation learns the workflow, the eliminations and where a translated balance comes from.
Each entity's accountant learns the load, the validations and the intercompany matching for their own ledger.
The FP&A analysts who build the board pack learn the reporting layer and the cube views underneath it.
Cover for the jobs the team has not taken over yet, on a scope that falls as the training lands.
